chronEST predicts - in combination with chronSIM - the execution time of the target C code of the embedded software, taking into account hardware architecture, operating system, and compiler.
chronEST automatically breaks down the embedded software into its basic components and predicts the processor-related execution times based on a virtual prototype, resulting in carefully examined execution times.
chronEST delivers a considerably more precise prediction of the real execution time compared to traditional worst case execution time (WCET) methods. This helps to utilize embedded systems much more efficiently and to significantly reduce the cost.
