AOC2021 – JOIN US!

As an active AUTOSAR member, INCHRON contributes to the AUTOSAR Working Group “Resources” who present their current work at AOC2021. As timing is a critical topic for both the classic and adaptive platform, an unified approach for tracing and timing covering both platforms is required. The working group’s demonstrator (Timing Reference Platform) shows how this approach can be applied and how it is supported by state of the art tools.

Validation of the end-to-end timing requirements has to support distributed systems that consist of both AUTOSAR Adaptive and Classic ECUs. This requires an event chain specified using a model that reflects the entire system. The individual steps are then mapped to the results of model-based analysis or traces captured on the hardware.

In the technical session “Automated Tool Driven Validation of Timing” the Timing Reference Platform shows how the AUTOSAR Timing Extensions(TIMEX) are used for specification of timing behaviour and requirements. In a second step the AUTOSAR Runtime Interface (ARTI) is used to capture traces from both platforms. Finally specified timing requirements are validated based on the merged traces or in an model based environment. The presentation shows how collaboration in standards and example implementations promotes development of methods and tools.
